VENEZIA
About Us
Leslie Ann Genninger is an American designer whose travels in Europe brought her to the shores of Venice over 35 years ago, where she met some talented artists and Murano Glass Masters and had the chance to go behind the scenes in their private furnaces and studios to learn more about their work. Her fascination with the medium sparked her creativity and inspired her to design and work with Murano Glass. Genninger Studio is located in the pictoresque Campiello Barbaro, in the Dorsoduro Sestiere. It is in the heart of the famous "Museum Mile", which is just around the corner from The Peggy Guggenheim Collection, Â Accademia Museum, La Dogana, Palazzo Cini, and The Emilio Vedova Foundation. Here you will find unique Murano Glass jewelry, goblets, lighting, mirrors, chandeliers, and sculptures. Leslie's beads have been likened to miniature Jackson Pollock-type canvases, her jewelry to Peggy Guggenheimsque gems, and her goblets to post-modern wine connoisseur delights. She enjoys working directly with her international clientele, including Elton John, Ivana Trump, and Steven Wynn for The Bellagio Hotel in Las Vegas. Many of her designs can be found in leading private art collections and galleries around the world, as well as The Museum of Art and Design in NYC, The Museum of Glass in Tacoma, The Basch Collection at The Ringling College of Art & Design in Sarasota, The Sarasota Museum of Art, and The Venetian Glass Museum in Otaru, Japan. She enjoys exhibiting her works in leading art and design fairs such as Intersect, SOFA Sculptures, Objects and Functional Art in New York & Chicago, Collect in London, Aspen Art Fair, and BIJOUX! at the Norton Museum in Palm Beach and Boca Raton Museum in Florida.
