Leslie Ann Genninger is an American designer whose travel in Europe brought her to the shores of Venice, over 35 years ago. Here she met some incredibly gifted artisians and Murano Glass Masters and had the chance to go behind the scenes in the private furnaces and studios to learn more about their work. Her fascination with the medium sparked her creativity and inspired her to start working with the glass and designing with her favorite 1000-year-old secretive techniques. Today her studio is located in the heart of the "Museum Mile" of Venice in the pituresque sestiere of Dorsoduro. Her beads have been likened to miniature Jackson Pollock-type canvases, her jewelry to Peggy Guggenheimsque gems, and her goblets to post-modern wine connoisseur delights. Her work can be found in important private collections and museums worldwide.
Leslie enjoys working directly with her private collectors in designing custom Murano Glass creations. Among her valued international clientele are Elton John, Ivana Trump and Steven Wynn for The Bellagio Hotel in Las Vegas. Many of her designs can be found in leading private art collections and galleries around the world, as well as The Museum of Art and Design in NYC, The Museum of Glass in Tacoma, The Basch Collection at The Ringling College of Art & Design in Sarasota, The Sarasota Museum of Art, and The Venetian Glass Museum in Otaru, Japan. She has exhibited her works in leading art and design fairs such as SOFA Sculpture Objects and Functional Art in New York & Chicago, Collect in London, Aspen Art Fair, BIJOUX! in Palm Beach & Boca Raton Florida.
